so light in color that it could almost be confused with rose.  native to alto adige this grape is pinot noir with a little less fruit and a creamy kick.  great summer red.

primitivo is known as the ancestor to north america’s zinfandel. not quite as rich as zinfandel and the nose is very different. wintergreen and red currant dominate the fragrance.
