Join us on New Year’s Eve for some bubbly and oysters.
We don’t often do bubbly by the glass, but we’re making it our business on the last day of the year. Three different kinds of bubbly and oysters three ways, and DJ Dae at 9:30. Does this mean anything to you: champagne gelée bacon powder jalapeno mignonette If it doesn’t now, it will… Here’s a preview of what we’ll be serving… Surf-”in”-Turf – bacon-wrapped scallop-studded, Filet Mignon served with herbed duchess potatoes, local Swiss chard, and porcini mornay sauce Seared Diver Scallops – served in a puff pastry over spicy butternut squash ratatouille No reservation necessary, just come on by. Eat, drink, dance, ring in the new year.
Not your mama’s black eyed peas….
They say what you eat on the first day of the year will determine how the rest of your year goes, so what better way to get the party known as “2011″ started than hanging out with us at Six Plates and eating “black eyed peas” and “collard greens.” Here’s a few traditional New Year’s Day meals, Six Plates style….
black eyed pea-apple soup – confit turkey, cheddar and chive oil
country ham – collard greens, sweet potato puree and porcini country gravy
watercress salad – grapefruit supremes, pomegranate seeds, mint leaves, sweet champagne vinaigrette
